Just write.

Get a (nother) journal and write every morning stream of conscious about nothing in particular every morning for about 30 minutes daily. You'll find something good staring back at you soon enough.

Rand, that's my point. Either make the eReader good, or just develop apps and give up the sales for the device itself. :)

Kyle - I'm the same way. I got a Nook because I knew I wouldn't use a tablet to read. Plus the Nook is way easier on my eyes, and I'm a dork like that. :)

there is so much potential and yet seems that they are still not being explored.

It is interesting that I hardly ever use my iPad to read. But I have a feeling that if I had a kindle I would use it all the time.

Despite him being a monster, and with all sympathies to those many lives he ruined, the sheer glee so many are speaking of another's death has made me uncomfortable in the wake of this Bin Ladin situation. I haven't wanted to say anything because his atrocities didn't affect me personally, so I don't want to inadvertently belittle the reaction of someone who is in more pain then me.

I love this post. Thanks for your honesty regarding Bell's book. I had a similar reaction to it- I'd love to believe in a chance for people after death.

I've stopped Andy. Right around when I 'half-way' read Love Wins. Stopped trying to figure out why people believe what they believe or, for that matter, why I believe what I do. Not everything needs analyzed and not everything needs answered.I don't need to convert you and will not be converted by you (not you specifically, but in general). I believe what I do because after careful study and prayer what I believe is what God has laid on my heart. He will lay other things on other people or they will interpret it differently, but that's not my concern. I just have to trust He will lead me where He wants me, disciple who He wants me to and not who He has designed for someone else to.
I'm just a farmer in His field, with a bag full of seeds, just waiting for Him to tell me where to plant them. After a lifetime, it seems, of trying to figure everyone else out, I'm done. Maybe I'll see Rob Bell in Heaven, maybe I won't and I'm not sure which one of us won't be there. Just gonna spend my life trying to do what I think will get me There.

the idea of christian unity is something that has been stirring in my life the last year. yes i have my opinion, and i will gladly give it, but once it gets into theological debate over who is right and wrong, thats where i'm done. i dont have the time to waste arguing with other christians when there are more important things to be doing in/for the world. we are not just to be unified within the church, but the Church! meaning christians from all places, working together, not fighting amongst each other.

so i'll ditto tobers and say, amenz to the brotha!
