I am utterly convinced that we have an opportunity, whether or not it lasts, to stop serving the money god and totally change the way that the church and its people operate in America. I don't know if it will continue, or if we'll take advantage of it, but I know that there is potential for us to stop basing churches on whether they can afford to keep the lights on, but whether they are part of "something very small," as Shane Claiborne would say.</p><p>Edit: plus, I really like that picture.
