Great post bro!! I think a lot of people struggle with this man. I know I have. I came to the conclusion that until I forgave myself, God was unable to forgive me. Others may have differing opinions, but the way I understand it is....Once you're saved, your slate is wiped clean. There is nothing to feel guilty about anymore. Should we seek out the people we hurt and ask for their forgiveness? Yes, but that's for them, not for us. The "for us" has already been given by Jesus. I say that knowing that, in my life, I have hurt many, many people. Whether it was directly or indirectly, I was the cause of a great deal of pain in many lives. I know some of those people still hurt today because of my actions. I have a ton that I could feel guilty about, but I firmly believe that is Satan trying to drudge up the past and take me back to where I was. I refuse to go there and I'm sure you do too. Sure, we must love our neighbor as He loves us, but I think it is almost equally important to love ourselves as He loves us. It is that love that gives us the strength to pour it out to others.
