I actually made the same argument you did, about how people want to point out others sins to hide their own. No one likes hearing that. I sure didn't when I first heard it... still don't when I catch myself at it. Because ALL have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. My sin is no better or worse than the next person's. It's still a slap in the face to God.
